    personal grant money

If someone asks you for your credit card number, it means they want to take money from you.

Why on earth would someone who wants to give you free money for college that you don’t have to pay back, want you to give them money?

THAT’s how you spot the scams.

Go ONLY to government sites — the rest are scams, especially if they ask for your credit card number

Check out Federal Student Aid Web Site or FAFSA

I suggest you explore all federal funding and grant options at the Federal Student Aid website

You may also want to read the Handbook of the Pell Grant — this is an 86 page document that contains everything about the grant

Or you can call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243 and ask them if there are any programs for you

FOR OTHER PURPOSES — You can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) and Grants.gov – these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support your purposes. Once you find a grant where you can qualify, apply for it at Grants.gov
