I was wondering has anybody ever recieve Grant money for like school, bills, or just free money. Do you have to pay for school or can you just use it for anything. Where can i apply for it without the shipping and handling cost. Is it worth paying the $2.00 for the material. Let me know the best way i CAN GET FREE MONEY FROM THE GOVERNMENT!

  • You apply for free grant money to go to college (Pell grant) at

Don’t pay anyone to give you information about grants from the government, they are all scams. You can see all government grants at

  • federal grant money

Pell grants are only for college and can be applied for at fafsa.ed.gov it is based on need and there are income restrictions.

Umm. If you are looking to go to college you can fill out a FAFSA. It is determined by your household size and income. There isn’t a shipping or handeling fee with it. The information is sent to your college or university of choice. The government will send you a SAR Student Aide Report which tell you and the college or university of your choice what your FIC is Family Income Contribution the lower the number the more aid you receive. If you are Pell Grant eligable the money is sent to your college or university along with an amount of Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans you qualify for. The ultimate decision is left up to your college though as to whether or not they determine a need to release the funds.

There are all sorts of other programs that the government offers to aid people. Many are based on different qualifications such as low income housing and health care. They are means tests which require that you meet certain usually income requirements to receive aid.

There are even programs to help you finish high school get trained in local trade schools and start your own business. Go to your local workforce department and they should be able to assist you in your specific needs

FOR EDUCATION – Check out Federal Student Aid Web Site or FAFSA

I suggest you explore all federal funding and grant options at the Federal Student Aid website

You may also want to read the Handbook of the Pell Grant — this is an 86 page document that contains everything about the grant

Or you can call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243 and ask them if there are any programs for women of your age

Aside from FAFSA and Pell Grant , you may want to explore private foundation grants

    FOR OTHER PURPOSES –

The government is NOT in the business of giving away free money for the sake of giving away money. There are no grants for paying bills, no grants for paying off credit cards, no grants for getting out of debt and no grants for simply fattening your wallet.

Grants are free, but it means OBLIGATION. You will be obligated to do as the grant sets out to do. Grants have objectives, and your purpose must fit the objective of the grant.

For one, you have to write the grant application and the grant application is not a simple document – you have to explain how your purpose for applying for the grant fits well with the objectives set out by the grant.

There is a stringent review process through a committee. You will compete with other applicants for the grant money, and this grant review committee will evaluate the merits of each proposal. Only those that they feel exemplifies the objective of the grant will be approved.

You can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) and Grants.gov – these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support your purposes.
